    Planning, Budgeting and Procurement:  Having the right computer systems in place to meet the demands of your buisness environment and to stay competitive is essential for your current business plans and anticipated growth.  Designing a plan and sticking to it are key to making sure that technology costs are maintained and within budget.  Poor planning can lead you to over purchase the amount of technical equipment you need and spend dollars that could be used for other areas of your business while under purchasing can be a major increase in day to day IT Support costs.

    MoonKnight Networks will help you review your the state of your current network and computer equipment as well as the direction you would like to take your company in the coming years.  We can help you identify areas where you are spending too much money (cell phone plans, non standardized equipment, etc), areas where additional spending may benefit the company (regular maintenance, server upgrades, telecommuting, etc), and areas where you are doing the right things.  From this information we can work with you to put together a technology plan that will work within your budget.  Often times, we can identify Return on Investment and show you how new technology will actually earn you more dollars than the ones you spend on the new technology itself.  By developing a concise plan, we will work within your desired budget and create a staged approach that will help you meet all your goals while maintaining cash flow.  In many cases, we can even find financing opportunities for you.

    Once we have identified the status of your current system and any upgrades that will  help you reach your goals, MoonKnight will provide all the procurement and supply chain needs to fulfil the technical request.  We will get all equipment delivered on site and ready for installation and configuration.

    Installation, Configuration and Documentation:  New systems need to be installed into your physical environment and will require many aspects to be carefully considered.  Do you have enough power in the room to support all your current equipment, should we consolidate systems into a virtualized environment to reduce power consumption and costs or because we have limited space?  Does the room have adequate air flow and air conditioning to prevent the equipment from over heating?  Is the floor strong enought to support a thousand pounds of equipment (in some cases more) without reenforcement?  Once this is determined, installation and mounting of equipment is required.  Furthermore, once the systems are put into place, operating systems need to be installed, data needs to be transfered and secured, firewalls need to be configured and properly implemented as well as your back up systems, spam filtering and antivirus.

    Once the system is completely installed and configured properly, it should be well documented.  The documentation creates a centralized “RunBook” of all the necessary information  about your network and should be safeguarded.  It will include the key components, services and systems to your network as well as security settings and service provider information and account information.  The RunBook provides a quick overview of the configuration of your network and is a key element in our service.  We believe that the company should own all the rights to the information about their systems and we do not require you to be beholden unto MoonKnight Networks for that information.  Should you ever decide to have  someone else work on your network and servers, we want you to have this information handy so that you do not need to pay someone again to put everything together.  We do this for our clients because we know how important it is to have control over this aspect of your computer systems.  We will never hold you hostage to our services, like many IT professionals do.  We want you to succeed with or without us, and this is one way we can ensure that you will not waste money on our services and then have to pay someone else to do it all over again.

    Server, Network and Computer Maintenance Services:  This is where we really save you money.  Our services and maintenance are designed to give you what you need to keep your systems running optimally.  This means, that your staff and employoees can continue to work without having to wait for a system to be rebuilt due to a disaster that could have been prevented.  While our services do not guarantee that a disaster will not happen, we are actively reviewing your systems and providing maintenance that will help us to prevent a disaster from happening.  There is nothing as expensive to your business as an unexpected computer or server outage.  We mitigate this by providing regular maintenance on your systems as well as 24/7 monitoring to warn us of potential problems before they arise.  In addition to monthly maintenance and monitoring we provide a complete checklist of services for servers, laptops, workstations to keep them clean and running optimally.  By providing this maintenance, we can reduce your IT costs by staving off expensive problems by catching them before they happen.  In many cases, companies that do not have an IT plan or someone with 20 years experience in IT support can benefit greatly from our maintenance  programs without the cost of a full time employee.
